Our daily diving packages offer shore diving on our stunning house reef to boat trips to various areas – local sites, Ras Mohammed National Park or the Straights of Tiran. We can cater for all levels of diver, tailoring your package around your needs.
Shore Diving
Shore diving on our house reef is often overlooked for boat diving, but ask any of the Red Sea Diving Instructors and they will tell you it is a ‘must dive’ site. Add our special unlimited dive ‘House Reef Explorer’ to your daily diving package and you will experience the joy of diving at your own pace and when you like.
Our house reef is a beautiful site with sightings of so many different fish and coral varieties. It’s the perfect dive if you want to organise your own dive time, it is also guaranteed to be open and accessible in all conditions. You name it, chances are you’ll see it – eagle rays, moray eels, octopus, turtles, napoleon wrasse, barracuda, the list is endless.
Local Dive Sites
A dive trip to the Red Sea would not be complete without diving some of the local sites. Local sites are part of your daily diving package and will make your diving holiday complete. The local sites stretch all the way along the coastline from Sharm el Mina in the south to Ras Gamilla opposite Gordon Reef in the north. The local sites offer an amazing array of topography from pretty coral gardens to wall drop offs and equally a vast array of marine and coral life. As most of these sites are within easy reach of the jetty, we offer the option of a half day, either join the boat in the morning and disembark at lunch time or go for an afternoon dive.
Straights of Tiran
The Straits of Tiran are quite possibly one of the most famous dive site areas in the Red Sea which are accessible as daily diving sites. Jump on board one of our diving boats and head out to the reefs situated in the Straits of Tiran. This famous dive area is located between the coastal area of Nabq and Tiran island; there are four large pinnacles rising from the sea bed to within a metre of the surface; Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas and Gordon reefs named after the British cartographers who first mapped them.
Trips to the Straits of Tiran can be included in your daily diving package and will include a mixture of mooring and drift dives. These dive sites will amaze you with the sheer abundance of underwater marine life, colourful coral gardens and mammoth walls. The richness of these dive sites is partly due to the tidal currents that are sometimes present here.
Ras Mohammed National Park*
One of the highlights of your dive holiday has to be a dive in the Ras Mohamed National Park. The park is designated as an area of natural beauty. All of the dive sites in the area are accessible by daily diving on one of our dive boats.
Diving in the National Park carries with it certain environmental concerns and in order to protect the sites you must abide by the National Park Guidelines. With no mooring lines, all dives are wall drift dives with on occasion very strong currents.
The park is situated at the most Southerly point of the Sinai Peninsula, where two bodies of water collide; the Gulf of Aqaba & Gulf of Suez. This movement of water causes currents which in turn feed the coral and attract an amazing array of fish. In summer massive shoals of fish start to gather for the mating season, which in turn attracts large pelagic fish including some Sharks. Shark and Yolanda reef is one of the most spectacular sites to include in your daily diving package.

Thistlegorm*
Diving the S.S Thistlegorm is generally on every divers ‘must dive’ list when they come on holiday to the Red Sea. With this in mind it is important to have a dive guide who knows every nook and feature so you do not miss anything. Our experienced dive guides have this expert knowledge and will make sure you have a safe and enjoyable dive.
This British built ship was bombed and subsequently sank overnight on 5th Oct 1941. One of the most impressive aspects of this dive is the amount of cargo still stacked on and below her decks. It is very important to continue the conservation of this amazing time capsule and therefore strict rules are in place that no items are removed. Hundreds of divers have dived her before and we want your experience to be the same as theirs.
The S.S Thistlegorm day includes two dives; one orientation dive and one penetration dive, with an optional third dive on the way back. This is a memorable dive and is highly recommended. S.S Thistlegorm is not included in the normal daily diving package and has a supplementary charge.
Dunraven*
If you like wreck diving then don’t miss the chance to add the Dunraven to your daily diving package. She was a 19th century steam ship carrying a cargo of cotton and spices. She came to her demise after a navigational area which saw her hit the reef and sink. She now lies upside down next to the reef wall, which makes her very easy to dive.
The stern marks the deepest part of the dive at 29m. On entry, you will see all the original struts and wiring as you swim through schools of glass and lion fish. If you are comfortable your dive guide will lead you through her hull either side of her massive boiler.
The dive is continued along the reef wall which has many examples of hard corals. Look at the reef to spot the resident stone fish and don’t forget to glance into the blue as this site is known to have quite a few sightings of pelagic fish species.
Dahab*
Our daily diving day in Dahab is a great opportunity to mix some great diving with some relaxing time in the small resort town of Dahab. It is only 100km ‘up the road’ but offers a completely different feel from Sharm. Dahab is rich with Bedouin culture; it has many Bedouin style cafes serving freshly caught fish, salads and delicious freshly baked bread, which fringe the beautiful bay. This is the perfect way to spend the afternoon, chilling out post dive.
In the morning you will dive some of Dahab’s most famous dive sites from shore. The Blue Hole, with its vast coral walls and unusual bowl formation, is a classic dive (depth limit 30m unless you are technically trained and kitted) and the canyon, one of the only true canyons accessible by recreational divers.
Night dives
Have you ever wondered what happens to the reef and its inhabitants at night? Join us on a night dive and take a look at a completely different world. As the sunsets the daytime Red Sea fish hideaway to sleep leaving the stage for the night time critters.
The Sea Wind Diving Center offer night dives from our daily diving boats or from the shore on our house reef. It is amazing what different creatures you can see at night. Grab the chance of watching a Spanish Dancer dance, observe parrot fish in their night time cocoons and watch Lion Fish stalk out their prey. If you are really lucky then you might even witness the natural phenomena of spawning coral.
